Dr. Nasib Balut is a renowned orthodontist with over 30 years of experience, known for his dedication to advancing orthodontic practice and education. He graduated with top honors from Universidad Tecnológica de México, Mexico City, where he received his dental degree (1979–1983). He furthered his education at Loyola University of Chicago, earning a Postgraduate Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s degree in Oral Biology (1985–1987). Dr. Balut is board certified by the Mexican Board of Orthodontists and held the position of its president from 2009 to 2012.
Dr. Nasib Balut leadership in orthodontics extends to academia, where he served as Chairman of the Orthodontics Program at Universidad Tecnológica de México from 1994 to 2000. His expertise in modern orthodontic techniques is reflected in his role as a Certified Educator for the Damon System, a position he has held since 2009. With over 500 national and international lectures and courses to his credit, Dr. Balut is recognized as a thought leader in the field.

He serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and as an editor for the Egyptian Journal of Orthodontics. Dr. Nasib Balut is an esteemed member of several professional organizations, such as the Mexican Dental Association, Mexican Association of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, and the World Federation of Orthodontists. His contributions to orthodontics were recognized with the Cum Laude Award in 2003, a testament to his excellence and influence in the profession.
