Education and board certification

Dr. Nasib Balut is an orthodontist with over 30 years of experience, dedicated to advancing orthodontic practice and education. He graduated with top honors from Universidad Tecnológica de México in Mexico City (1979–1983) and earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s degree in Oral Biology at Loyola University of Chicago (1985–1987). He is board certified by the Mexican Board of Orthodontists and served as its president from 2009 to 2012.

Teaching

Dr. Balut chaired the Orthodontics Program at Universidad Tecnológica de México from 1994 to 2000. He has been a Certified Educator for the Damon™ System since 2009 and has given more than 500 national and international lectures and courses.

Research and publications

He is a reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and an editor for the Egyptian Journal of Orthodontics, and he has authored three books, including Mini Implantes como Anclaje en Ortodoncia (2012).

Memberships and practice

Dr. Balut is a member of the Mexican Dental Association, the Mexican Association of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontists and the World Federation of Orthodontists, and he received the Cum Laude Award in 2003. He practices in Mexico City, combining innovative treatment techniques with a strong commitment to patient care and education.
