Dr. Chris Chang

Dr. Chris Chang earned his PhD in Bone Physiology and Certificate in Orthodontics from Indiana University in 1996. He is a certified orthodontic specialist in Taiwan, a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), and an active member of the Angle Society-Midwest.

Since 2006, Dr. Chang has been deeply involved in clinical practice, education, and publishing. As the founder of Beethoven Orthodontic Center and Newton’s A Inc., he has trained over 2,000 doctors from 21 countries. Dr. Chang is widely recognized for his ability to simplify complex theories using clear illustrations and humor, making his lectures both engaging and widely appreciated. He is a regular speaker at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) annual meetings, where his presentations are always met with enthusiasm. In 2019, Dr. Chang received the prestigious CDABO Case Report of the Year Award at the AAO, making him the first Chinese recipient of this honor. In 2025, he further made history to receive the AAO John Valentine Mershon Award, becoming the first Asian to receive this prestigious distinction and delivering an honorary lecture that reinforced his profound influence on the global orthodontic community.
